Men's Cricket at Golden Hill

At Golden Hill Cricket Club, we pride ourselves on representing a diverse and spirited community united by a love for cricket. Our eight league teams compete every Saturday during the cricket season and with representation throughout the Bristol and District Cricket League structure and the West of England Premier League, we cater to a wide array of players and playing styles. From exceptionally gifted youngsters bursting with potential to seasoned veterans with decades of experience, our teams are a melting pot of talent and enthusiasm. The club also embraces those who are newer to the game, including the enthusiastic "village" players and those who might be a bit more casual in their commitment, ensuring that there's a welcoming spot for everyone - especially when it comes to our renowned cricket teas and outstanding facilities.

Our cricketing calendar is vibrant with opportunities also for friendly matches on weekends and a series of midweek T20 fixtures. Such initiatives not only enhance players' skills but foster a sense of community and team spirit among members, reinforcing the club's commitment to a friendly and inclusive environment. Each team within the club is dedicated to pushing their limits, with the 1st XI recently climbing to WEPL 2, marking their place in the second tier of regional club cricket. Meanwhile, our other teams are also firmly on their paths towards success, with several squads securing promotions in recent seasons and aiming to ascend further in the league hierarchy.

For those looking to join a thriving men's side, we offer a straightforward membership structure. The annual subscription is set at £125, with match fees at a reasonable £10 per game or £6 for concessions. Our winter nets programme offers an opportunity for development and costs £60 for the full series or £6 on a per-session basis. We also hold men's training sessions on Tuesday evenings during the summer, creating an open and engaging atmosphere for players from across all levels of the club. Members are encouraged to take advantage of our excellent practice facilities whenever the club is open and available, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to improve their game and enjoy the rich, thriving community spirit that defines Golden Hill Cricket Club.
