Women's Cricket at Golden Hill

At Golden Hill Cricket Club, we pride ourselves on our welcoming and vibrant women's side, which caters to players of all abilities. Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned veteran, you'll find your place with us. The club fosters a friendly atmosphere where friendships thrive, opening the door for new players to join and experience the excitement of cricket.

Our teams compete across various formats, ensuring a dynamic cricketing experience year-round. In the summer, we field teams in outdoor hardball and softball competitions, while the winter months see us participating in the indoor softball league. Currently, we play in the Women's and Girls' Competitions hosted by Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation, the West of England Premier League and the Bristol Women's Indoor League, reflecting our commitment to maintaining a competitive stature in the region.

With aspirations of becoming one of the leading women's sides in the South West, we are dedicated to nurturing the talents of up-and-coming female cricketers through a robust girls' development programme. Our ethos centres around fostering improvement and providing quality, competitive cricket while ensuring that everyone has fun and enjoys their time on the field. We believe in creating an environment where players can thrive, grow and share their passion for cricket.

Training sessions are vital to development and we combine indoor and outdoor nets, coaching opportunities and practice matches for maximum benefit. We invite prospective new members to join us for a free taster training session so come along and see how you fit into our community!

Throughout the winter months (January to April) we meet at Clifton College, while summer training (April to August) takes place outdoors at Golden Hill Sports. The club provides communal pads and bats for use, ensuring everyone can access the required equipment.

The club offers various opportunities for development for those interested in gaining coaching qualifications.
